How to Do It

Use a pomodoro timer app on your phone. Simply search for the word Pomodoro in your app store and many will come up. 

Try to work with the utmost possible focus and with no interuptions for 20-25 minutes than take a 5 minute break and repeat. 

Set a daily target and minimum for the amount of Pomodoros you plan to accomplish. 

Completing at least X amount of pomodoros daily can be a habit that you track.

  • Try to gamify the process by having daily targets and minimums and keep track of your previous pomodoros. Some apps track the amounts of pomodoros that you do historically. 
  • One good example of an app is Be Focused 
  • Try to determine the task and the exact amount of work that you want to accomplish during each pomodoro and strive to accomplish that workload to make it a true sprint. 
  • It is best to stand up and move around on your breaks. 
  • You can use the Pomodoro technique to set productivity goals. Rather than planning to work for X amount of hours plan to complete X amount of pomodoros.
